Andha, A Blind Miracle

Andha.jpg

Andha, a blind cow with a unique story, was discovered by Saptarshi six years ago at Dhyan Foundation's animal shelter in Sohna. In that shelter, Andha was found tied in a lonely corner, isolated from other cows. When inquired about the reason behind his separation, the shelter workers explained that Andha displayed aggressive behaviour, which led to his segregation. Upon witnessing Andha's plight, Saptarshi made a firm decision that if he ever established his animal shelter, Andha would be an essential member of it. Andha's solitary existence came to an end in 2017 when the Safe House For Animals shelter was established, and he was relocated from Sohna to the new facility.

Since he arrived at the SHFA shelter, Andha has gradually adapted to sharing space with other bulls and cows, surprising everyone by not displaying any signs of aggression. Although his blindness may limit his social interactions, Andha has found peace within the shelter's environment and responds promptly whenever he is called by his name.
